Djibi woont alleen met Sofia, zijn 8-jarige dochter. Elke nacht verzint hij een verhaal om haar in slaap te krijgen. Als Sofia in slaap valt, komen deze bijzondere verhalen tot leven ergens in een denkbeeldige wereld die wordt bewoond door ridders, piraten en andere draken. In deze wereld die alleen van hen is, is Sofia altijd de prinses die moet worden gered, en de dappere prins is niemand minder dan Djibi zelf. Maar drie jaar later markeert de intrede van Sofia op de universiteit het einde van haar jeugd. Tot wanhoop van haar vader heeft ze haar verhalen 's nachts niet meer nodig. Aan de ene kant zal Djibi moeten accepteren dat zijn dochter opgroeit en bij hem weggaat. Aan de andere kant zal de prins in de World of Stories het meest epische van al zijn avonturen moeten doorstaan. Vind je bestemming in een wereld waar het geen plaats meer heeft.
