Overview
W roku 1975 zakończyła się wojna w Wietnamie. Wielu uchodźców przybywa do Ameryki, gdzie zostają osadzeni w ośrodku Camp Pendleton, w Kalifornii. Rządzi tam sierżant Lance, który pragnie zdobyć respekt wśród uchodźców. Wkrótce zaprzyjaźnia się z Taiem, który w czasie wojny był tłumaczem. Razem ćwiczą wietnamski. W końcu jednak okazuje się, że Tai chce nie tylko pozostać w Ameryce ale także znaleźć swoich krewnych, a w szczególności Minha i Anh.
