Overview
L’histoire de Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn et Mary Jackson, les cerveaux derrière le premier voyage spatial habité réussi par les Américains en 1962. Ces trois Afro‐Américaines travaillaient pour la NASA et ont permis à l’astronaute John Glenn de réaliser son premier vol en orbite, tout juste 10 mois après le Russe Yuri Gagarine. Cet exploit a redonné confiance à l’Amérique et a relancé la course à l’espace entre les deux grandes puissances politiques de l’époque. Le trio visionnaire a su surpasser les questions raciales et de genre et a jeté les bases du programme spatial qui a abouti à la vision de Kennedy du premier homme sur la Lune.
